CHILDREN'S BALLET: Peter and the Wolf - QLD Ballet

27 June 2025

Season: June 27th - July 5th, 2025

Title: Peter and the Wolf

Presented By: Queensland Ballet

Genre: Family Ballet / Children's Theatre

Synopsis: Join young Peter on an enchanting adventure in Peter and the Wolf, a vibrant reimagining of the beloved symphonic fairytale by Sergei Prokofiev.

In this charming production, Peter heads off to the zoo and meets a host of cheeky animal companions: a sly cat, an unlucky duck, a sprightly bluebird, and the mischievous wolf. Each character comes to life through music, as different orchestral instruments represent their personalities—an educational delight for young ears and a nostalgic treat for adults. Choreographed by Greg Horsman and narrated by Hugh Parker, this production forms part of Queensland Ballet’s beloved My First Ballet series. Expect bold costumes, whimsical sets, and the warmth of storytelling through dance—perfect for first-time ballet-goers and seasoned fans alike.
