Synopsis: David Tristram turns his attention to marital infidelity and its warring consequences in this witty adult comedy.

Mark and Vicky, and Judith and Eric, have more in common than they first realise. What begins as a chance meeting with the potential for a pleasant social evening quickly unravels as secrets emerge, accusations fly and sharp-tongued insults escalate into hilarious chaos. Packed with clever dialogue and relatable relationship mishaps, The Opposite Sex is a fast-paced comedy about love, betrayal and the unexpected consequences of infidelity.

  • Founded in 1965, Act1 Theatre is one of Brisbane's longest-running community theatre companies. Based in the heritage-listed Old Pine Shire Hall in Strathpine, the venue combines historic charm with modern comforts, including raked seating, a licensed bar and ample free parking. Strathpine Railway Station is approximately 100 metres from the theatre.

  • Act1 Theatre (Old Shire Hall) offers wheelchair-accessible entry, accessible seating, accessible toilet facilities and accessible parking. Patrons requiring accessible seating or additional assistance are encouraged to contact Act1 Theatre prior to booking.
