22 Aug 2025

Season: August 22nd, 2025

Title: The Last Princess of Lebanon

Presented By: Nadia Milford, Empire Theatre

Genre: Theatre, One-Woman Show

Synopsis: A powerful one-woman performance tracing the extraordinary life of Amira (Princess) Nadia Abillama of Lebanon, who journeyed from the opulent palaces of Beiteddine to a modest Queenslander in the rural town of Dalby. Told by her great-granddaughter Nadia Milford—who wrote the script from her own intimate research—this deeply physical piece blends theatre and dance to explore the parallels between past and present. As Nadia navigates her own path to womanhood, she discovers that her great-grandmother’s struggles are not just history but living echoes within her. Through music, movement, and storytelling, The Last Princess of Lebanon becomes a testament to the resilience of women, the complexity of heritage, and the courage to redefine one’s legacy.
