- Workshops and MasterclassesTitle: 13 JR Presented By: Second Star Youth Theatre Genre: Musical Theatre Synopsis: With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Last Five Years), 13 JR is a musical about fitting in and standing out. Evan Goldman, just months away from his Bar Mitzvah, is uprooted from New York City to a small town in Indiana following his parents' divorce. In his quest to navigate middle school and make his Bar Mitzvah a success, Evan must figure out where he fits in the social hierarchy, making friends and learning valuable life lessons along the way. Join us for the Young Performers Musical Theatre Open Mic! This special event is for young stars aged 17 and under to showcase their talents on stage. Audition Self-Tape Due: 6th of October Audition Requirements: • Record two contrasting musical theatre songs that showcase your voice and style. • Use a smartphone or simple recording device in a quiet, well-lit space. • Upload your video to a platform with a shareable link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.). • Complete the audition form and submit your video link via the provided form. Audition Registration: Audition Form Performance Dates: Sunday 3rd of November Performance Location: Sit Down Comedy Club, Paddington Recommended Age: Age ranges in audition form: 5 yrs and younger, 6-9 yrs, 10-13 yrs, 14-17 yrs Other information: No entry fee or hidden fees.
