Title: Ellis and the Night Orchestra

Presented By: Backbone Youth Arts – Theatre for Babies

Genre: Chamber Opera / Theatre for Early Years / Live Music

Synopsis: Ellis and the Night Orchestra is a gentle, imaginative chamber opera created especially for very young audiences.

Ellis is too scared to sleep. Each time he closes his eyes, strange sounds appear—creaks, whispers, and distant noises that might be monsters, planes, or ghosts.

As the night unfolds, Ellis discovers the sounds aren’t frightening at all. Instead, he befriends them and transforms them into music, becoming the conductor of his very own Night Orchestra.

A playful and comforting journey about imagination, fear, and finding beauty in the unknown.
