Synopsis: Based on Ronald Dahl's beloved 1964 children’s novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory follows young Charlie Bucket as he wins a golden ticket to visit the mysterious and magical factory of eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka. Along with other lucky winners, Charlie embarks on a wild adventure through Wonka's world of sweet surprises and hidden dangers. With a book by David Greig, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman, this timeless story comes to life through dazzling songs and whimsical sets, performed by Spotlight Youth Theatre’s Sophomore Musical Theatre students.
