Title: Waru – journey of the small turtle

Synopsis: Under the starry skies of the Torres Strait, a green turtle named Migi embarks on a journey back to the beach where she was born. As the season begins, turtles return to nest, including Migi, leading to a new generation of hatchlings. Waru – journey of the small turtle is an immersive and interactive introduction to Torres Strait Islander culture and dance, designed for children aged 3–7. Created by Stephen Page, alongside Hunter Page-Lochard, Sani Townson, and Elma Kris, this production encourages important conversations about climate change, environmental care, and traditional cultural values.
