Synopsis: Brisbane Festival transforms theatres, parks, streets, rooftops and public spaces across the city into stages for bold local, national and international work. The 2026 program brings together large-scale spectacles, intimate performances, new Australian work, live music, theatre, circus, dance, installations and participatory community experiences under the theme “Switch On. Light Up. Come Alive.”

Performance Location and Address: Various venues throughout Brisbane, including South Bank, Brisbane Powerhouse, QPAC, Queensland Theatre, La Boite Theatre, Metro Arts and suburban community venues. The principal Festival Village is located in South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt, South Brisbane QLD 4101.
