Synopsis: Your favourite Asian Aunties bring their riotous comedy show to the stage in this fast-paced improvised performance. Aunty Maria from the Philippines (Janette McBride) and Aunty Rani from Sri Lanka (Himali Ratnayake) deliver their signature mix of brutal honesty, heartfelt wisdom, and sharp humour.

Audience members submit their dilemmas, which the Aunties transform into hilarious improvised scenes—serving up advice that’s equal parts chaotic and insightful. With their bold personalities and unstoppable energy, the Aunties promise a night of laughter, culture, and unapologetic judgement.

  • Audience participation involves submitting prompts, but participation on stage is optional.

  • The venue includes a bar and encourages early arrival.

  • Big Fork Theatre aims to create an accessible space for performers and audiences. Wheelchair access is available through the main entrance on the corner of Grenier St and St Paul’s Terrace. There is a lift to the second floor, with accessible bathrooms on Level 2. The stage is wheelchair accessible via a ramp from backstage.
