Synopsis: JARJUMÂ is a powerful multimedia production combining a short dance film with live contemporary dance, whimsical puppetry and honest storytelling. Celebrating the voices, strength and creativity of First Nations youth, it brings together young people from metropolitan and regional communities to share their stories through movement and film. Created by First Nations choreographer Mitch Currie and co-choreographed with young First Nations artist Ayla Carrington-Sanson, the work champions self-determination, cultural pride and the next generation of First Nations leadership. Honest, uplifting and deeply authentic, JARJUMÂ is a celebration of identity, community and hope.

A free artist talk with key creatives will follow the Saturday performance.
The artist talk will run from 3:00 PM–4:00 PM.
Seven Hills Hub has 66 parking spaces, including two designated accessible parking spaces for permit holders.
Backbone Festival accepts Companion Cards.
