MUSICAL: A Chorus Line - Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre

31 July 2025

Season: July 31st - August 9th, 2025

Title: A Chorus Line

Presented By: Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre

Genre: Musical

Synopsis: In this landmark musical, seventeen dancers put everything on the line as they audition for a coveted spot in a Broadway chorus line. As the audition progresses, director Zach asks the performers to share personal stories that led them to the stage. What unfolds is a deeply human exploration of ambition, identity, vulnerability, and resilience—from Cassie’s longing for another chance in the spotlight to Val’s bold journey through body image and self-expression.

Based on real-life experiences of Broadway dancers, A Chorus Line is raw, funny, heartbreaking, and timeless. This special 50th anniversary production celebrates both the musical's legacy and Griffith University's own milestone anniversary, featuring all current Bachelor of Musical Theatre students with final-year performers in lead roles.
