Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, Chess, The Musical tells the story of two chess masters, an American and a Russian, competing for the world championship in Bangkok. Their intense rivalry becomes entangled with political intrigue and a complex love triangle involving a Hungarian refugee. The musical explores themes of love, ambition, and betrayal amidst the pressures of global politics. With music by ABBA songwriters Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and lyrics by Tim Rice, Chess features hit songs such as "I Know Him So Well" and "One Night in Bangkok."
