Synopsis: An acclaimed musical written, composed and starring international music icon Sting, The Last Ship tells the deeply personal story of a shipbuilding community facing the closure of their beloved shipyard — the heart of their existence. Inspired by Sting’s own upbringing in Wallsend in the United Kingdom, the story follows themes of loss, pride, love and connectedness, conveyed through a powerful musical score interwoven with moving ballads and rousing ensemble pieces. Sting stars as Jackie White, the shipyard’s foreman, at a pivotal moment when his leadership and spirit are most needed.
