Synopsis: Based on the hit comedy film starring Dustin Hoffman and ranked among the American Film Institute’s “100 Years…100 Laughs,” Tootsie is a Tony Award-winning musical featuring music and lyrics by David Yazbek and a book by Robert Horn.
Michael Dorsey is a talented actor with a reputation for being difficult to work with. Desperate for employment and determined to succeed, he disguises himself as actress Dorothy Michaels in a last-ditch effort to land a role. As Dorothy becomes a Broadway sensation and Michael falls for his co-star Julie, maintaining the deception becomes increasingly complicated. Filled with sharp comedy, heart and memorable music, Tootsie is a love letter to musical theatre that explores honesty, relationships and personal growth.

Crete Street Theatre offers an underground car park beneath the Beenleigh Events Centre and free street parking nearby. Accessible parking is available on Kent Street directly in front of the theatre entrance.
