Synopsis: Brisbane‑born mezzo‑soprano and former Opera Queensland Young Artist Xenia Puskarz Thomas presents an intimate recital exploring the emotional depths of desire, longing, memory and reflection. Joined by her husband, lutenist David Belkovski, the first half offers sensual Baroque and French repertoire alive with passion and immediacy. The program then turns inward with Schumann’s Liederkreis, a haunting song cycle that delves into dreams, introspection and the ache of what remains just out of reach.
