Synopsis: Embodi Theatre presents AI May, a bilingual English/Mandarin production that intricately blends realism, movement, and multimedia to create a deeply engaging theatrical experience. Written by Amy Chien-Yu Wang, this futuristic drama explores grief, solitude, and intergenerational trauma through the story of a Chinese migrant mother. Set in an age of rapid AI advancement, AI May touches on themes of cultural identity, love, loss, and the emotional challenges of a world driven by artificial intelligence. This 80-minute show invites reflection on the human connection to technology, particularly through the experiences of Chinese migrants and the elderly.
