Synopsis: Dear Brother delves into the lives of young Aboriginal men from different corners of Queensland who find themselves in Brisbane, each seeking to change their circumstances and carve out a new path. As they navigate the tumultuous journey from adolescence to adulthood, they grapple with personal and cultural challenges, uniting through shared experiences and a profound sense of duty to Country. This powerful theatre work, rich with dance, music, and poetry, provides a platform for young Murri men to express their voices and challenge societal perceptions of Aboriginal masculinity. The performance, featuring Djabuganjdji man Lenny Donahue and Girramay and Kalkadoon man Tibian Wyles, promises an intense and heartfelt exploration of identity and brotherhood.
