Title: Do Not Go Gentle
Presented By: Queensland Theatre
Genre: Drama
Synopsis: In November 1911, Captain Robert Falcon Scott led his ill-fated expedition to the South Pole. In Patricia Cornelius' powerful and poetic play, that historic journey becomes a haunting metaphor for ageing, memory and mortality.
A group of aged care residents imagine themselves as members of Scott's Antarctic expedition, battling snow, wind and the relentless passage of time. Moving between epic adventure and intimate human drama, Do Not Go Gentle is a deeply affecting exploration of resilience, dignity, love and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
