When a respected psychiatrist mysteriously disappears from a psychiatric hospital, the search for answers leads to one of his most enigmatic patients—Michael, a young man with an extraordinary memory and an unsettling fascination with elephants. As the hospital director interrogates Michael, what begins as a straightforward investigation becomes a tense battle of wits, manipulation and hidden trauma.
As secrets emerge and loyalties are tested, The Elephant Song explores grief, power, identity and the lasting impact of childhood, building to a powerful and unexpected conclusion. Written by acclaimed Canadian playwright Nicolas Billon, this award-winning drama is an intense psychological examination of truth and perception.

The 2026 Brisbane season is presented in PIP Theatre's intimate Studio Theatre, creating an immersive experience that places audiences at the heart of the unfolding mystery.
