Synopsis: In a seemingly ordinary middle-class household, teenage siblings Kurt and Olga share a closeness that extends far beyond what their parents understand. While their parents remain distracted by their own routines, Kurt becomes increasingly obsessed with fire and destruction, while Olga searches for identity, connection and desire beyond the confines of her family.
When Paul enters their lives, the fragile balance within the household begins to unravel. As tensions rise and desires collide, the family home becomes a battleground for rebellion, obsession and disintegration.
Written by Marius von Mayenburg and translated by Maja Zade, Fireface is a provocative and explosive drama exploring alienation, family dysfunction and the destructive power of unchecked longing.

Fireface is the Queensland premiere of Marius von Mayenburg's acclaimed play. The production examines adolescent alienation, destructive impulses and fractured family relationships through a darkly compelling contemporary lens.
PIP Theatre is fully accessible via the foyer lift and provides dedicated accessibility spaces, wheelchair-accessible amenities and Companion Card support. Patrons requiring assistance or Companion Card bookings are encouraged to contact the venue at info@piptheatre.org prior to attending.
Parking is available beneath the theatre in the Savoir Faire Car Park and is free after 4:00pm on weekdays and throughout weekends. Additional street parking is available along Park Road and surrounding streets.
