Synopsis: In the shade of a rusty old Queenslander, a gardener tends his bulbs and listens to the song of the place he calls home. When a real estate agent arrives to assess the property’s value, the gardener’s quiet harmony with the house is disrupted. As the pair develop an unexpected connection, the house begins to reveal fragments of its past through vivid scenes - stories of a son, a writer, lovers, a bug collector and the laundry girls. Blending live music with storytelling, the play invites audiences through the gate where history, memory and love for place bloom beneath the sun.
