Synopsis: Winner of the Patrick White Playwrights Award, Hot Tub is a tragicomic fever dream set on the Gold Coast during Schoolies Week.
Dido, a teenager from North Queensland, arrives at her estranged family's crumbling beachside apartment tower, "The Great White", desperate to secure money for weight-loss surgery in Brazil. When her father refuses, she joins forces with her scheming stepbrother to raise the funds online. Meanwhile, family matriarch Eunice finds herself under criminal investigation but refuses to sell the building that holds the family—and its many secrets—together. Packed with cosmic justice, karaoke, outrageous humour and biting social satire, Hot Tub is a wildly entertaining look at greed, family and the pursuit of happiness.
