Synopsis: Audrey Hart’s life is turned upside down when her husband Ted leaves her for his pregnant mistress. Pregnant and heartbroken herself, Audrey escapes to the quirky seaside town of The Cape, where she rebuilds her life. Years later, she has found her rhythm raising her teenage son George, running a belly-dancing business and enjoying coastal life. But when Ted suddenly reappears with an offer that threatens the life she has created, Audrey is forced to decide what she is willing to fight for. Written by Gold Coast playwright Amy McDonald, My Sunny Boy is a fresh Australian comedy filled with wit, warmth, eccentric locals and heartfelt family dynamics.
