15 May 2026

Season: May 15th - 30th, 2026

Title: Ophelia Chooses - A Theatre Supper

Presented By: Ipswich Little Theatre

Genre: Comedy / Drama / Shakespearean Reimagining

Synopsis: In this delightful comedy-drama, a modern-day playwright and feminist mysteriously enters the world of Shakespeare’s Hamlet in an effort to right the wrongs suffered by the character Ophelia. As the story unfolds, Ophelia becomes the architect of her own fate, learning to stand up to those who would control her, including figures from both the classic and modern worlds.

Ophelia Chooses is a playful and thoughtful reimagining of Shakespeare’s tragedy, designed for audiences who love Shakespeare, don’t love Shakespeare, or aren’t quite sure yet. It’s a light-hearted theatrical romp about agency, storytelling, and rewriting fate.
