Title:Â Rhinestone Rex and Miss Monica
Presented By:Â Queensland Theatre
Genre:Â Comedy / Contemporary Australian Play
Synopsis: Two very different personalities collide in David Williamson’s razor-sharp comedy about love, loss, and late-life connection. Monica is a refined, inner-city music lover and former classical violinist. Gary, aka Rhinestone Rex, is a laid-back country music DJ and ex-Country and Western singer hired to renovate her kitchen. Sparks fly as the two clash over everything from home décor to Mahler, but in true Williamson fashion, witty banter may just give way to unexpected romance. Starring Georgie Parker and Glenn Hazeldine, this revival of a beloved two-hander promises belly laughs and surprising tenderness.
