Synopsis: Believing themselves to be intellectually superior to those around them, two young students commit a cold-blooded murder simply for the thrill of it. To celebrate their “perfect crime,” they host a dinner party where food and drinks are served atop a chest containing the body of their victim.

As the evening unfolds and suspicions begin to grow among their guests, the tension steadily escalates. Will their arrogance and sense of superiority lead to their downfall, or will they succeed in getting away with the ultimate crime?

The play inspired Alfred Hitchcock’s acclaimed 1948 film adaptation and remains one of the most suspenseful works in the theatrical canon.
