Synopsis: It's 2065. Earth is burning, and time is running out.
Geneticist Evie and the crew of the ARK MARK II spaceship are humanity's last hope, tasked with rescuing every species they can, two by two, to establish a new beginning on Mars. Behind the mission is GENESIS, a corporate superpower selling salvation through a slick marketing campaign. When Evie discovers she's unexpectedly pregnant, a shocking truth about the mission begins to unravel, forcing the crew to question everything they thought they knew.
Written by award-winning playwright Kathryn Marquet, Second Coming is a darkly funny, thought-provoking world premiere exploring corporate power, climate change and the future of humanity through a bold reimagining of Noah's Ark.

A world premiere co-production between La Boite Theatre and Playlab Theatre, Second Coming is a genre-bending comedy that asks what hope humanity has if it cannot learn from its mistakes on Earth. Sustainability has also informed the production's design, with recycled materials incorporated throughout the set and costumes.
