Synopsis: New York, 1968. Michael is hosting a small birthday gathering for his sharp-tongued frenemy Harold in his Upper East Side Manhattan apartment. What begins as a night of laughter, drinks, and friendly banter among longtime friends takes a darker turn. Harold is running late, an unexpected gift stirs tension, and Michael's very straight college roommate shows up uninvited. As the night unfolds—fueled by alcohol, drugs, and decades of buried resentment—a seemingly innocent game of "Truth" erupts into emotional chaos. Mart Crowley’s groundbreaking play is a raw, honest, and darkly funny exploration of friendship, identity, and self-acceptance in a time of social change.
