Title: The Female of the Species

Synopsis: Written by Joanna Murray-Smith, The Female of the Species is a sharp, fast-paced comedy that skewers celebrity feminism and modern gender politics. Margot Mason, a famous feminist author, is struggling with writer’s block in her country home when an uninvited former student arrives—with a gun and a grudge. As tensions escalate, a parade of unexpected visitors forces Margot to confront the real-world consequences of her ideas. Balancing biting satire with farcical humour, the play explores identity, ideology, and the messy contradictions of modern life.
