Synopsis: In this meta-theatrical masterpiece by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Thornton Wilder, the Antrobus family of Excelsior, New Jersey, face the end of the world during the last Ice Age. The play explores humanity’s struggle with its own survival, its capacity for good and evil, and its resilience in the face of catastrophe. Are they Adam and Eve? Noah and his wife on the Ark? Or survivors of a nuclear holocaust? This wild blend of American sit-com and timeless parable invites us to question what it means to be human, as time, place, and the rules of theatre itself collide in a thrilling, madcap comedy.
