Synopsis: London, 1888. Mary Jane Kelly is behind on her rent, her window is broken, she has lost her key, and her boyfriend has moved out. With poverty closing in around her, Mary faces increasingly desperate choices as she tries to survive the dangerous streets of Victorian London. Inspired by the lives of women labelled “unfortunates” in the nineteenth century, this dark and intimate ghost story explores poverty, exploitation, friendship and survival against the backdrop of one of history’s most notorious murder cases.
