THEATRE: Going Postal - Brisbane Arts Theatre

Title: Going Postal

Presented By: Brisbane Arts Theatre

Genre: Fantasy / Comedy / Theatre

Synopsis: In the city of Ankh-Morpork, con artist Moist von Lipwig is given a rather unusual choice: take charge of the city's defunct postal service or face the consequences of his criminal career. With the Post Office buried beneath mountains of undelivered letters, an eccentric collection of employees and a ruthless businessman determined to protect his monopoly on communications, Moist has his work cut out for him. Armed with charm, cunning and a talent for deception, Moist sets about transforming the forgotten institution into a thriving enterprise. But reviving the postal service means taking on Reacher Gilt, the unscrupulous owner of the Grand Trunk semaphore company, whose business practices are considerably more dangerous than Moist's own.

Based on Terry Pratchett's beloved Discworld novel, Going Postal is a witty fantasy adventure filled with eccentric characters, sharp satire and the delightful absurdity of Ankh-Morpork. It's a story about second chances, corporate greed and the surprising power of a letter delivered on time.
