THEATRE: Home, I'm Darling - Toowoomba Repertory Theatre

3 Nov 2026

Season: November 3rd - 14th, 2026

Title: Home, I'm Darling

Presented By: Toowoomba Repertory Theatre

Genre: Dark Comedy

Synopsis:

Judy and Johnny appear to have the perfect 1950s marriage. Judy keeps an immaculate home, prepares dinner and has her husband's slippers waiting when he returns from work. There's just one catch: it's actually the 21st century! Having willingly traded modern life for a nostalgic domestic fantasy, the couple are determined to live their vintage dream. But as financial pressures, relationship tensions and the realities of modern society begin to intrude, cracks appear in their picture-perfect world. Winner of the 2019 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, Home, I'm Darling is a witty exploration of marriage, gender roles and the dangers of nostalgia.
