Title: 2026 General Auditions
Presented By: La Boite Theatre & Queensland Theatre
About: La Boite Theatre and Queensland Theatre are inviting expressions of interest for their 2026 General Auditions. These auditions are an opportunity for performers to connect with both companies’ artistic teams and build relationships for future Mainstage productions and development opportunities. These auditions are not for specific productions or roles.
Audition Date: Wednesday 10 June – Thursday 11 June 2026
Audition Time: Times allocated upon invitation
Audition Requirements: If selected for auditions, performers must prepare:
Two contrasting audition pieces
Maximum 2 minutes each
Material should showcase range and talents
Expressions of interest require:
Headshot
CV (PDF format)
Eligibility requirements:
Tertiary trained in drama/acting and/or demonstrated professional stage experience
Must be at least 20 years old
Queensland-based artists preferred/prioritised
If you have auditioned for or worked with either company within the past two years, you do not need to audition again.

Southeast Queensland and Brisbane-based artists will be given preference
Both companies strongly encourage applications from First Nations, CALD, d/Deaf, disabled, and LGBTIQA+ artists
