Title: La Cage Aux Folles

Synopsis: In the shimmering heart of Saint-Tropez, Georges, the owner of a drag nightclub, and his partner Albin must face new social pressures when Georges’ son introduces his fiancé’s conservative parents. The show blends big musical-comedy spectacle with warmth and genuine emotional depth, celebrating identity, love, and family.


Audition Date:

  • Video submissions due Wednesday March 18th, 2026

  • Recalls held on Saturday March 21st, 2026

Audition Time:

  • Video submission close EOD March 18th

  • Recalls from 2PM onwards on March 21st

Audition Location and Address: Location sent through to auditionees successful in receiving a recall.


Audition Requirements: Prepare two musical theatre song excerpts (approx. 32 bars / ~1–1.5 minutes each). One must not be from the La Cage Aux Folles score; the other may be from the show or another musical. Video submissions should be uploaded to a hosting platform (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive) and shared via link.

Audition Registration: Complete the registration form linked within the audition pack and upload your video submission by the deadline.


Performance Dates: June 26th - July 18th, 2026

Performance Times:

  • Thurs & Fri - 7:30PM

  • Sat - 2PM & 7:30PM

Performance Location: Gold Coast Little Theatre, 21a Scarborough Street, Southport QLD


Rehearsal Dates & Times: Beginning April 14th, 2026

  • Tuesday and Thursday - 7PM - 10PM

  • Sunday - 10AM - 6PM

Rehearsal Location: Gold Coast Little Theatre rehearsal spaces and designated call venues in Southport.


Warnings: Participants should disclose all availability conflicts before rehearsals begin. Wear comfortable clothing for movement/dance assessments if attending calls.

Performer Age: Open to suitable age ranges per roles (details in audition pack).
