Synopsis: Sea of Glass: A Voyage Aboard The Ecclesia is an original action adventure musical set in a historical and fantastical world of pirates, sirens, corrupt colonials and cursed civilians. An unlikely crew are thrown together on an epic quest to defeat darkness, the law and the curse of the beast.

Audition Date: Saturday 27 June 2026

Audition Time: 1:00pm – 5:30pm

Audition Requirements:

• Rather than a traditional audition, performers will participate in a relaxed casting workshop exploring songs and script excerpts from this brand-new musical. As the work is still in development, this workshop is designed to introduce performers to the material in a collaborative environment.

• Prepare one minute of suggested audition song for each principal character from the audition materials.

  • Full name

  • Chosen accompaniment track

  • The start and finish timestamps of your chosen one-minute excerpt

Pirates and Sirens do not need to provide an accompaniment track, as it will be prepared for the audition day.

• Magdala Mermaid / Marianne (Female, 25–35) - Based on Mary Magdalene. Begins as a powerful, volatile mermaid before transforming into Marianne. Essence: Fantine (Les Misérables) or Elphaba (Wicked) Audition Song (choose one):

  • All are pirates from Buccaneer Island who also double as Colonial Soldiers.
