AUDITION NOTICE: Sister Act - Savoyards

Presented By: Savoyards Musical Comedy Society Inc.

Synopsis: An uplifting musical comedy based on the hit 1992 film Sister Act. When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime, she’s placed into protective custody in a convent - where her extraordinary voice transforms the struggling choir and brings joy, spirit, and groove to the community.

Audition Dates : March 20th - 23rd, 2026

Audition Times:

• Friday 20th (PRINCIPAL), 7 - 10PM

• Saturday 21st (PRINCIPAL), 9 - 11:30AM

• Saturday 21st (ENSEMBLE), 12:30 - 5PM

• Sunday 22nd (PRINCIPAL), 9 - 5PM

• March 23rd (CALLBACKS), 7 - 10PM

Audition Location and Address:

• Savoyards Hall, Ferguson Street, Manly (Principal)

• Wynnum State High School, Peel Street, Manly (Group/Ensemble & Callbacks)

Audition Requirements:

• Prepare 2 × 60-second song excerpts showcasing vocal strength and versatility. Script sides are provided after registration - familiarise in advance; memorisation encouraged.

• Group auditions include taught movement and song. Bring completed audition form and colour headshot.

• On the day of your audition, bring your audition form, completed in full and listing ALL clashes with the show calendar and a colour headshot (minimum size 10cm X 15 cm). This is non-returnable. It is also important that you are honest in your unavailability as this helps with scheduling!

• 7 - 10PM Mondays & Wednesdays

Rehearsal Location: Wynnum West State School, School Road, Wynnum West.

Warnings: This is an amateur production; performers will be expected to assist backstage and in theatre duties as part of participation.

Performer Age: Minimum age for this production is 18 years.
