Synopsis:

Award-winning Australian playwright Aidan Fennessy's The Architect is a moving and uplifting contemporary drama about friendship and the unexpected connections that can change our lives.

When Helen's partner John heads overseas, she reluctantly agrees to employ a temporary carer. Against all expectations, she chooses Lennie – a young drifter and jack-of-all-trades whose qualifications are questionable, but whose enthusiasm for life is undeniable.

As an unlikely friendship develops, Helen and Lennie help one another confront difficult truths, discovering that hope, humour and companionship can be found in the most unexpected places.
