4 min read

Title: The Oasis

Presented By: Overture Theatricals (PATHWAYS Program)

Genre: Original Australian Musical / Supernatural Comedy / 1980s Pop-Rock

Synopsis: The Oasis is an original Australian supernatural comedy musical by Bradley McCaw, featuring an energetic 1980s-inspired pop-rock score. A group of disconnected young people discover a mysterious, magical Oasis hidden on their school grounds. As its supernatural influence begins to transform their lives, the students are drawn into an investigation of the extraordinary force growing inside the cave. Each must confront their past, overcome personal challenges and decide whether they are willing to stand together and fight for something they believe in. Following the success of Overture Theatricals' 2026 Any Moment Pathways Production, this developmental workshop production offers Brisbane performers the opportunity to collaborate directly with the composer, explore new material and help shape an original Australian musical before its next stage of development.
