JUNIOR AUDITION NOTICE: Alice in Wonderland Jr. - BG Performing Arts

Synopsis: When young Alice tumbles into a strange and topsy-turvy world, she must find her way home — and herself — along the way. Meeting the iconic White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and more, Alice journeys through a whimsical and weird Wonderland in this youth-friendly stage adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s beloved classic.


Audition Date: Sunday 31 August 2025

Audition Time: 9:00am–12:00pm (sign-in from 8:45am)

Audition Location and Address: BGPA Studios, 12 Jamieson Street, Bowen Hills QLD 4006

Audition Self-Tape Due: If unavailable for in-person featured role auditions (see below), email info@bgperformingarts.com for video submission instructions.


Audition Requirements:

  • Ages: 6–12 (must be at least 6 years old by performance date)

  • Wear comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes (jazz shoes recommended)

  • Bring water, snacks, and a sweat towel

  • All music and dance taught on the day; acting/singing materials provided via Dropbox after registration

  • Be off-book where possible for prepared pieces (scripts allowed if needed)

  • This is a workshop production — no previous experience required

  • Date: Sunday 8 June 2025 (same location)

  • For any participant wanting to be considered for a speaking/featured role

  • Not compulsory for ensemble participation

  • Video submissions available if unable to attend in person

Performance Location: Everton Park SHS Performing Arts Centre, 668 Stafford Rd, Everton Park QLD 4053


Rehearsal Dates:

  • Workshop runs Monday 22 Sept – Saturday 27 Sept 2025

  • Monday–Thursday: 9:00am–3:30pm at Bowen Hills Studio

  • Friday: 9:00am–5:30pm at Everton Park SHS

  • Saturday (performance day): 10:00am–7:00pm at Everton Park SHS


Participation Fee: $395 (covers rights, royalties, staff, set, props, venue hire)

  • Alice, Tall Alice, Small Alice – curious and adventurous girl at different sizes

  • Mathilda – Alice’s older, logical sister

  • Friends 1 & 2 – Mathilda’s snooty companions

  • Cheshire Cats (1–3) – magical, mischievous guides

  • White Rabbit – frantic royal trumpeter, always late

  • Doorknob – quirky gatekeeper of Wonderland

  • Dodo Bird – captain of the Queen’s Navy

  • Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum – goofy, polite twins

  • Flowers (Rose, Lily, Petunia, Daisy, Violet) – snobbish garden residents

  • Caterpillar – charming and encouraging

  • Mad Hatter – eccentric tea party host

  • March Hare – enthusiastic and game-loving

  • King of Hearts – mild-mannered monarch

  • Queen of Hearts – hot-tempered ruler of Wonderland
