Synopsis: Brisbane City Youth Ballet’s 2027 Summer Season will bring the classic fairytale Sleeping Beauty to the stage. The production will feature young dancers across Petite, Junior and Main Company levels, offering participants the opportunity to rehearse and perform within a structured youth ballet company environment.

Audition Date: Sunday 2 August 2026

Audition Location and Address: BCYB Studios, Millway Street, Kedron

Audition Self-Tape Due (if applicable): Wednesday 29 July 2026 at 9:00am

Audition Requirements: Auditions will be conducted as ballet classes. Dancers unable to attend in person may submit a video link, with requirements provided after registration.

Performance Dates:

• Tuesday 19 January 2027 - HOTA, Gold Coast

• Friday 21 January 2027 - Conservatorium Theatre, South Bank, Brisbane

• Saturday 23 January 2027 - Conservatorium Theatre, South Bank, Brisbane

Rehearsal Dates:

• Main Company: 13–23 January 2027

• Junior Company: 14–23 January 2027

• Petite Company: 15–23 January 2027

Rehearsal Location: BCYB Studios, Millway Street, Kedron

Performer Age: Dancers aged 7+

Other information:

• Audition fee: Free

• Main Company fee: $1,500

• Junior Company fee: $1,200

• Petite Company fee: $880

• A non-refundable 50% deposit is due by 14 August 2026.

• The remaining non-refundable 50% is due by 14 September 2026.

• A compulsory media fee of $220 per family and compulsory uniform costs are due by 26 October 2026.

• Additional costs may include shoes, undergarments, makeup, tickets, programs and merchandise.
