YOUTH AUDITION NOTICE: The Little Mermaid Jr. - BG Performing Arts

Title: The Little Mermaid Jr

Synopsis: Cost: In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.

Audition Date: Sunday August 30th, 2026

Audition Time: 9AM - 12PM

Audition Location and Address: 12 Jamieson Street, Bowen Hills QLD 4006

Audition Requirements: 

• Attendees will participate in a vocal, acting and dance session for our creative team to assess where each performer will best fit within the show.

• Please bring appropriate shoes, sweat towel, sufficient water and snacks and anything else you may need! (We will provide all paper materials)

• Please wear clothing that you can easily move in (you will be dancing) and enclosed shoes. Jazz shoes are recommended but not necessary.

• For the most positive audition experience, students are encouraged to have their songs and monologues learnt off by heart so they can perform with confidence. Materials can be found via the Dropbox link provided.

Performer Age: This is a youth production for 6-13 yr olds. All participants must be at least 6 years old by the date of performance.
