Synopsis: Elle Woods is the queen of Delta Nu, all charm, sparkle, and unshakable confidence. When her boyfriend dumps her to get "serious" at Harvard Law, Elle trades fashion for the legal field in a bold attempt to win him back. But what starts as a romantic mission turns into a journey of self-discovery as Elle proves she’s more than just a pretty face. With killer choreography, empowering songs, and fierce female friendships, Legally Blonde is a high-energy celebration of self-belief and staying true to yourself.

Audition Requirements:
All auditionees must be aged 18+
Prepare two contrasting musical theatre songs (90 seconds/32 bars each): one ballad and one up-tempo number that best showcases your vocal ability
Dance call required for all auditionees except those auditioning for Paulette, Callahan, Warner, and Vivienne
Some roles include staged intimacy (hugging, kissing, and/or simulated intimate violence) – all scenes will follow MEAA intimacy guidelines
Be comfortable working with dogs for roles involving Elle and Paulette

Elle Woods

The quintessential Valley Girl who discovers her intelligence and determination while navigating Harvard Law. Elle is bubbly, optimistic, and surprisingly sharp.
Vocal Range: F#3 – F5
Requirements: Comfortable wearing tight/revealing clothing. This role includes intimacy (hugging, kissing) and simulated intimate violence, choreographed to MEAA intimacy guidelines. Must also be comfortable with dogs.

Paulette Buonufonte
Female Identifying, 25–45
A brash but kind-hearted hair stylist who becomes Elle’s confidante. She’s funny, soulful, and dreams of love.
Vocal Range: G3 – A5
Requirements: Must be comfortable with dogs.

Professor Callahan
Male Identifying, 45–55
A powerful, sleazy Harvard law professor. He’s manipulative, morally bankrupt, and enjoys asserting control.
Vocal Range: A2 – F#4
Requirements: Onstage intimacy (kissing) and simulated intimate violence. All directed under MEAA intimacy guidelines.

Warner Huntington III
Male Identifying, 18–30
Elle’s polished but shallow ex-boyfriend. Ambitious and self-serving, he leaves Elle to chase a more “serious” future.

A focused and smart Harvard student engaged to Warner. Initially cold to Elle, she transforms into a supportive ally.
