Synopsis: F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel celebrates its 100th anniversary in this stage adaptation by Simon Levy. Set in 1922 during the Roaring Twenties, the play portrays the extravagant lifestyle of New York City and Long Island, where flapper parties, gangsters, and jazz musicians dominate. The story, narrated by Nick Carraway, contrasts the glamour of the wealthy with the struggles of the working class. At the heart of the tale is Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire with a tragic love story built on lies.

Audition Requirements:
All actors should submit an Expression of Interest form and email a recent headshot to info@villanovaplayers.com
For Nick Carraway, prepare a one-minute monologue in a narrator style (either original or from the script).
For all other roles, you will be cast from a script reading.
Jazz musicians and singers should prepare 32 bars of appropriate music.
Some dance experience is desirable, especially for chorus roles.
