Synopsis: Half-blood teen Percy Jackson has powers he can’t control, a prophecy he doesn’t want, and a quest he never asked for. When Zeus’s master lightning bolt is stolen, Percy becomes the prime suspect. To clear his name and stop a war between the gods, he must journey across America with his friends — facing monsters, gods, and the truth about himself. Adapted from Rick Riordan’s best-selling novel, The Lightning Thief features a thrilling rock score in an action-packed mythical adventure “worthy of the gods” (Time Out New York).

Audition Date: Saturday 30 &/or Sunday 31 August 2025 (afternoon workshops)

Audition Self-Tape Due: If unavailable for in-person auditions, note this on your registration and you’ll be sent video submission instructions.

Audition Requirements:

• Ages 10–18 (as at 27 September 2025)

• All who audition will be cast

• Auditions are run as iTheatrics-style group workshops — no preparation required

• Learn an ensemble song from the show and perform it for the creative team

• Skills assessed include singing, dancing, acting, connection, and adaptability

Participation Fee: $320 (includes rights, royalties, creative/technical staff, venue hire, sets, props, costumes, script, production t-shirt, dinner on show day)

Warnings: PG – includes battle scenes and themes of parental abandonment.
